New hopes raised in 36 Patients after Surgeries

Pune: New hopes were raised in 36 Patients after Surgery in two days of free hand, cosmetics, and plastic surgery camp. The camp has been organised jointly by the Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre (SUHRC) and Agarwal Club Charitable Trust Pune at Symbiosis Lavale recently.
Dr. Pankaj Jindal, Dr. Shankar Srinivasan Subramaniam, Dr. Swapna Athavle and Dr. Noel Britto the visiting faculty with the hospital faculty, Anaesthesia team, Doctors and Nursing Staff and the administrative team at the hospital along with volunteers from Agarwal Club got together to make a well co-ordinated and synergy team for this camp.
Dr. Jayshree Gorde contributed as an administrative head from SUHRC. Surendra Tulsyan, President, CA Umesh Jalan, Past President & Camp Convenor, Rajiv R Agarwal, Past President & Charity Chair with about 10 other volunteers from Agarwal Club supported the Camp activities with a great zeal.
The camp provided free of cost surgeries, as a service to the humanity. The team is providing continuously its noble services for the rural patients for the last 20 years at different places in Maharashtra viz. Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, Shahada, Vaduj, Shirdi, Jalna etc.

Relief from birth deformities of hand and leg in children, burn contractures, deformities due to accidents; disfiguring of face like ear, nose, chin, lip or neck, spastic paralysis and  other similar issues were handled at the Camp.

The rural patients do not have enough resources and awareness to get rid of their disabilities. They live the life with negative outlook, low confidence, low morale, dependence on others. etc. Society rejects them from assimilation into social gatherings. Life appears to be a burden to these patients. The Camp provides these patients a golden opportunity to get rid of their various issues. The patients get a second lease of life with all the happiness. The smiles on the face of the treated patients becomes a cause of happiness for the working team members.
